1. Application in water treatment technology
Ferric Chloride performs well both at low temperatures and over a wide pH range. The optimal range of pH is from 7 to 8.5.
It creates flocs that are strong and coarse and can be used for water with high salt concentrations. Therefore, it is considered as an industrial waste and municipal wastewater treatment chemical.
Ferric Chloride acts as a colloid to make the water clearer, especially with the precipitation reaction, it also helps remove phosphate.
2. Industrial applications of FeCl3
As an ingredient in pesticides.
Widely used in the production of printed circuit boards. As an etching agent for etching; mordant; catalyst in organic synthesis; water cleaners; used in photography, etc.
As a mordant and as an ingredient used in dyes.
As an ingredient in purging baths for aluminum and steel.
3. Medical applications: This chemical is used as an astringent.
